Simmons Mediation, LLC is led by attorney, Scott Simmons, who is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator.  Mr. Simmons has been practicing law in Central Florida since 2000.  During this time span, he has represented numerous clients involved in personal injury and property damage cases.  He has extensive courtroom, trial, and conflict resolution experience.  This includes approximately 40 jury trials and more than 500 mediations during his career.. Mr. Simmons received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1997.  Thereafter, he obtained his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2000.  Most of his legal career was spent defending individuals and insurance companies in the areas of motor vehicle law, premises liability, and property damage cases.  He spent a few years representing Plaintiff’s in personal injury cases as well.  Today, Mr. Simmons devotes his entire practice to mediating these types of cases.. Mr. Simmons and his lovely wife, Jessica, have three wonderful children, Braxton, Teagan, and Kaelyn.

Personal Information:. Jon Hollingshead maintains a full time mediation practice in Winter Park, Florida where he grew up.  He graduated from Winter Park High School in 1973, received a B.A. degree in Physics from Emory University in 1977, and his law degree from University of Florida in 1980 where he was an editor on the Florida Law Review.  He and his spouse, Jeanne Hollingshead, have two children.. Litigation Career:. Upon graduating from law school, Jon served as a law clerk to Judge Joe A. Cowart, Jr. at the Fifth District Court of Appeal from 1980 to 1983.  In 1983 he returned to Central Florida and started his career as a trial lawyer.  Jon maintained an active trial practice for over 30 years, trying cases for both plaintiffs and defendants, in both state and federal court.  He has represented clients at all levels of the state and federal trial and appellate system including arguing multiple cases before the Florida Supreme Court.  During his career he litigated and tried to verdict all types of cases including numerous personal injury, commercial, construction, employment, and civil rights matters.. Jon has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell since 1999.  He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (Orlando Chapter). He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America in both Construction Law and Personal Injury categories.  Jon was a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer from 1994 until 2014 when he transitioned his practice from litigation to mediation..
